Youth Group Meeting/News

Youth Group is open to students in grades 7-12.  This group works, prays and plays together. 

Will be mostly on Thursdays at 5 p.m.  Some activities are off-site and/or may be a different day and time

Handouts and information will be provided at the July 12th YG meeting for those attending the Steubenville STL Conference in Springfield, MO July 20-July 22, 2018. 

Other possible activities to be scheduled:
    Cookbook Sales Day-details TBA

    Day at the zoo (summer 2018)
    Trip to the Grissom Space Museum in Bonne Terre

Annual Walk for Life (Parkland Pregnancy Resource Center):  Saturday, October 13, 2018

Dates and times to be announced and will continue through the summer as long as youth attendance for such meetings is high enough to be viable!

A Day at the Lake!, Sunday, July 29, 2018.  Hosted by Clay and Deb Whitener at Terre du Lac.  Details TBA.

3 adults and 5 teens are registered to attend.  Late registrations will be subject to event and room availability.  Please let us know as soon as possible!

Thank you Tony Barry and Candi Barks for agreeing to attend as chaperones for our Steubenville STL trip.  Brenda Carrow is serving as Group Leader and will also be attending.

Service Activity
DIY Lawn Games!  Youth Group has been discussing various lawn games that we can build and put together, and we have begun construction. Finished games will be available for Youth Group use and also provided to the parish for use at special events.  Youth are asked to look around their homes for items that can be repurposed for use as part of a DIY game.  Please discuss with parents.  All ideas/suggestions welcome!

New Members Always Welcome!    Youth should be 7th-12th Graders.  No other requirements.

Immaculate Conception/St. John the Apostle parish cookbooks are available for purchase through the Youth Group at the reduced rate of $5 a book.
