Youth Group Meeting/News

Youth Group is open to students in grades 7-12.  This group works, prays and plays together. 

NEW MEMBERS ALWAYS WELCOME!  NO MEMBERSHIP FEES.

Youth Group 2018-2019 Starts in September!
   Youth Group will meet on Wednesday evenings following PSR.  7:15-8:30 p.m.  Youth meet in either the parish hall or the Youth Group room.

We have new t-shirts!  Talk to Brenda or Candi about getting your new shirt!

November Activities
November 1, 2018 All Saints Day (Mass at Immaculate Conception at 8 a.m. and at 7:30 p.m.)
November 2, 2018 All Souls Day (Mass of Remembrance at 8 a.m. followed by First Friday Holy Hour)
St. Louis Cardinal Calendar Sales continue.  Please turn in forms by November 4th for first round of orders.
November 4, 2018, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Chicken and Dumpling Dinner (volunteers welcome before, during and after!)
November 7, 2018, 6 p.m. Box Night (Deacon Mikes' Confirmation class spends PSR outside in a cardboard box to simulate what it would be like to be homeless)

December Activities
December 8th & 9th-Bake Sale Fundraiser after Masses until the goodies run out!  Masses are December 8th at 8 a.m., December 8th at 5 p.m. December 9th at 8 a.m. (St. John the Apostle) and December 9th at 10:30 a.m.
Christmas Caroling-TBA.  Will be after a Sunday Mass
Christmas Party-TBA

Steubenville News!
Fundraising for Steubenville STL 2019 has begun!  Can't wait to go back.

Service Activity
DIY Lawn Games!  Youth Group has been discussing various lawn games that we can build and put together, and we have begun construction. Finished games will be available for Youth Group use and also provided to the parish for use at special events.  Youth are asked to look around their homes for items that can be re-purposed for use as part of a DIY game.  Please discuss with parents.  All ideas/suggestions welcome!

New Members Always Welcome!    Youth should be 7th-12th Graders.  No other requirements.

 
Immaculate Conception/St. John the Apostle parish cookbooks are available for purchase through the Youth Group at the reduced rate of $5 a book.
